Tax Manager

Our firm is looking for our next great team member to fill the role of Tax Manager. We are not your typical firm. Our unique business model ensures that our team has a good work/life balance (even during tax season) and offers flex scheduling Monday through Friday. Remote and Hybrid schedules considered for qualified candidates.


Job responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and review business, individual, and other entity tax returns
  • Advise clients on tax, accounting and business needs while developing relationships
  • Manage projects and deadlines
  • Oversee the review of client work, ensuring accuracy and quality, while guiding staff members in their tasks.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, collaborating with other departments to innovate and strategize for the firm's future.
  • Provide expert advice on financial and tax matters, including tax planning and preparation of complex tax returns.
  • Review work prepared by staff, providing training, coaching, and mentorship to foster their development.
  • Conduct tax research
  • Participate in firm activities and weekly meetings

Recommended Skills/Qualifications

  • CPA Certified with an active CPA license
  • 5+ years of public accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Technical knowledge of tax laws and regulations with the ability to analyze issues and provide solutions
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting fundamentals
  • Self-starter, professional demeanor, and confidence working with clients
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive working in a team environment
